Najib Mahfooz - Egypt - Winner The Nobel Prize in Literature 1988. Najib was stabbed in the back by Egyptian Moslem fundamentalists in 1997 because he supported the Peace Process between the Palestinians and Isralies. Najib was partially paralysed as a result.

Karim Habib: BMW named Karim Habib to lead the design of BMW brand cars from 1 June, 2012. Habib has been in charge of Exterior Design for BMWs since March 2011, and is credited as the designer of the current 7 Series and the elegant 2007 CS Concept . The Lebanese-Canadian is on his second tour-of-duty with BMW, the first running from 1998 to 2009. After a brief stint with Mercedes-Benz, Habib returned to Munich and has since rapidly moved up the ranks.

Slim has been ranked the richest person in the world since 2010. His extensive holdings in a considerable number of Mexican companies through his conglomerate , Grupo Carso , SA de CV, have amassed interests in the fields of communications, technology, retailing, and finance. Presently he is the chairman and chief executive of telecommunications companies Telmex and América Móvil . Nicolas George Hayek (19 February 1928, Beirut – 28 June 2010, Biel/Bienne), was a Swiss - Lebanese entrepreneur , co-founder, CEO and Chairman of the Board of the Swatch Group, with principal headquarters in Biel/Bienne. Hayek was born, the second of three children, to a Lebanese mother and a Lebanese-American father, both from well-regarded Greek-Orthodox Christian Lebanese families with deep roots in Lebanon's Northern Governorate of El-Koura
